Radiation Oncology-Biology Integration Network (ROBIN) U54
A collaborative interdisciplinary effort that will apply new biological knowledge to optimize radiation therapy in combination with systemic drugs, immunotherapy, and other agents (RFA-CA-21-040)
The ImmunoRad ROBIN center connects a network of NCI-supported Cancer Centers, led by Weill Cornell Medicine, University of Chicago, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and including five other institution across the globe to investigate the interactions of radiation therapy with the immune system. The interaction of radiation therapy and the immune response is one of the most exciting areas of investigation in emerging cancer treatments. By combining the specialized expertise of investigator teams within multiple disciplines, we hope to better understand how to best combine these powerful cancer treatments to lead to better patient outcomes.
